Our Aqua Baby Classes are a lot of fun and a special time to cherish with your baby. We use toys, songs, games and many other fun activities so that your baby enjoys being in the water.
With an emphasis on water awareness such as water over the face, holding their breath under water and and holding on to the parent. Your baby will learn basic skills as well skills in a fun, relaxed and warm environment.
AQUA BABY CLASS
6 months - 2 years old

TRANSITION ONE & TWO
9 months, ability based

Our Transition One classes are designed for parents and babies who have grown in confidence and ability in the water and ready to progress to learning vital water safety skills.
This class is more advanced and we focus on things like breathing, swimming unaided, turning underwater and swimming to the surface.
BEGINNERS
AGES: from 2 years of age

This class is for children who have little to no swimming experience and are just starting out. Classes are focused on learning how to swim to save themselves, as well as the start of overarm freestyle, floating and vital water safety skills.
INTERMEDIATE
AGES: Ability based

This class is dependant on your child's swimming ability. Once they can swim to save themselves and can offer basic freestyle technique they progress to intermediate where they learn to breath to the side and swim further through the water.
ADVANCED
AGES: Ability based

Now that your child has learnt freestyle and can swim at least 5 metres and complete 10 metres without assistance, they move to the advance learn to swim class. Here they strengthen their freestyle and are introduced to backstroke.
BEGINNER STROKE CORRECTION
AGES: Ability based

This class is for students who can swim 10 metres freestyle and backstroke.
In this class we focus on correcting your child's strokes while increasing their stamina.
Students are also introduced to correct technique for breaststroke, butterfly and diving.
ADVANCED STROKE CORRECTION
AGES: Ability based

Once your child can complete 20 metres of backstroke and freestyle and 10 metres of breaststroke and butterfly they progress to the advanced stroke correction class.
In this class the emphasis is on building stamina in each discipline whilst receiving more advanced instruction on the correct technique.
SQUAD PREPARATION
AGES: Ability based

Once your child's stroke has been perfected they advance to our Squad Preparation Class.
This class is designed to build stamina in each discipline as well as learn the correct start, turn and finish of each stroke.
ADULT CLASSES
AGES: 16+

At Aqua Odyssey we adapt our adult classes to suit
the needs and goals of our adult customers. Whether you've never swam before, have a fear of water or simply want to improve your technique, our classes are designed with you in mind.
WOMENS ONLY CLASSES
AGES: Women Only

Our women's only group classes are run when no other classes are running.

AQUA FITNESS
AGES: 16+

Get moving with a fun, low-impact workout in the water. Our Aqua Fitness classes combine cardio, strength and resistance exercises to give you a full-body workout thatβs easy on the joints and suitable for all fitness levels.
BIRTHDAY PARTY/ CENTRE HIRE

Make your next celebration one to remember! Host your birthday party or special event at our aquatic centre, with plenty of space for swimming, fun and activities. Centre hire options are available for birthdays, groups and private events.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Build confident, capable swimmers with our school swimming programs. We offer structured lessons for students of all abilities, focusing on swimming skills, water safety and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
